About This Role
This role is for Eco Energy Insights, a Carrier Corporation. The
job of a presales manager typically includes:
- Working closely across various verticals such as System
Integration, SAAS Platform, product development, sales and
marketing, legal, finance and customer success.
- Understanding the customer's needs and pitching the company's
products as suitable solutions.
- Reviewing pricing practices to ensure they are consistent with
industry standards.
- Identifying potential clients and developing relationships with
them to build lasting business relationships.
- Creating proposals that clearly articulate the benefits of a
product or service offering to a customer to secure a contract or
agreement to purchase a product or service.
- Perform market research to analyze the competitive landscape
and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales leader is responsible & accountable for enabling
technical, commercial, and legal support to sales team and
ensure:
- The products being offered can be tailored to meet the
customers' requirements by working closely with sales team. Work
closely with the sales team on proposals and pitches for
business.
- Attend meetings with Sales Managers and act as a technical
expert.
- Have deep knowledge of a company's products or services and
enable sales team to pitch differentiated offerings to prospective
customers.
- Support RFP and RFI process. This can help sales professionals
to close business deals.
- Identifying customer needs and creating a differentiated
offering with strong value proposition to serve these needs while
ensuring high ROI for the customers, working with engineering,
sourcing, delivery. Outcome assurance & multisite product
management teams to ensure on-time, on-cost NPIs.
- Articulate product, value and service offerings to both sales
leaders and customers, identify all technical solutions that can be
offered to assigned accounts to assure complete customer
satisfaction through all stages of the sales and post sales
process.
- Defining the market positioning, pricing & target segments for
the portfolio, developing sales & channel competencies to ensure
sales volumes, drive revenue and gross margin as per defined
AOP/targets.
- Looking for an analytical, strategic, self-driven and mature
professional with strong commercial, technical, functional and
people management skills. The candidate should be willing to work
with diverse & large cross-functional teams spread across North
America & Southeast Asia. Also, the candidate should have strong
logical & influencing skills supported by meticulous planning &
execution rigor.
- Liaison with legal, risk management & finance teams to enable
the contracting.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ Years of Pre-Sales Experience in the HVAC/BMS/Energy
Management/IT SAAS Industry
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- Experience with Hardware Systems Integration, managed services,
and SaaS platform products
- Customer-facing experience in Solutions / Commercial /
Legal
- Hands-on experience in market segmentation, creating value
propositions, and new offering development.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Eminence experience desired. Strong influencing skills.
- Organized and analytical with the ability to eliminate sales
obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Broad and deep understanding of technology across industry
products viz. AI & IoT, emerging standards, IT infrastructures, and
technology trends.
- Equally at ease preaching to a room full of C-level
stakeholders and building product integrations across
technologies.
