Job Summary
Direct day-to-day Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting (GTSC) team
operations and the management of project resources. Serve as a
trusted advisor and strategic partner with Institute executive
leaders to design and implement strategic priorities, strengthen
the culture, improve processes, optimize structures, and manage
change. Direct the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide
projects. Maintain deep strategic and operational knowledge in the
assigned client area. Drive the identification of needed thought
leadership and lead the team in developing the insights, tools, and
knowledge needed.
This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute and
unit management, faculty, and staff.
This position typically will advise and counsel: Executive and
Institute senior-level leaders.
This position will supervise: Assigned staff.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Serve as a trusted advisor to executive and
senior-level leaders and assist them in setting and pursuing
Institute strategic priorities.
Job Duty 2 - Drive and ensure effective delivery of enterprise-wide
Institute-level priority improvement efforts by defining the work
needed ensuring the value proposition is clearly defined, assigning
and securing needed resources, managing teams, and measuring and
communicating progress through the management of consulting team
resources, external consultants, and campus partner
relationships.
Job Duty 3 - Provide guidance to project leaders and ensure that
all GTSC projects are scoped, planned, delivered effectively, and
assessed for the value delivered.
Job Duty 4 - Direct vendor management by scoping work to partner
with external consulting firms, selecting the right partner, and
managing work quality.
Job Duty 5 - Drive the identification of needed thought leadership
in GTSC's organizational effectiveness competency areas and lead
the team in the development of insights, tools, and knowledge
needed.
Job Duty 6 - Maintain a deep strategic and operational knowledge of
assigned client areas and provide strategic insights, guidance, and
support to executive and senior-level leaders in the design and
implementation of improvement initiatives.Job Duty 7 - Provide
leadership in the broader professional community through leadership
roles in professional associations, related coalitions and internal
Institute-wide committees, groups, and initiatives.
Job Duty 8 - Direct day-to-day GTSC team operations and practices
including reviewing and ensuring quality of deliverables, ensuring
consistency in the delivery of services, incorporating lessons
learned into future activities, and measuring value of all projects
in the portfolio.
Job Duty 9 - Set assigned employee goals, advise on group goals and
organizational structure to meet the goals, assess employee and/or
group performance and provide feedback, and make pay
recommendations.
Job Duty 10 - Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Required Experience
10+ years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Advanced certification in one or more GTSC competency areas, such
as Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional
(SHRM-CP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma
Green or Black Belt, Change Management (Prosci), or Certified
Professional Facilitator (CPF).
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Management, Organizational Development,
or related field.
Preferred Experience
15+ years of job-related experience.

Salary $150,000 to $170,000
