DCH is hiring Nurse Surveyors!
The Healthcare Facility Regulation Division (HFRD) is looking for
Nurse Surveyors to help inspect healthcare facilities for rules and
regulations compliance. Learn more in our campaign video. Minimum
requirements include being a Registered Professional Nurse, OR
having a Bachelor's degree in nursing from accredited college or
university, AND 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
DCH is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of
Compliance Nurse 2, Acute Care Unit with the Healthcare Facility
Regulation Division. The Acute Care Program provides federal and
state regulatory oversight for facilities caring for patients
experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, or disorders. This is a
homebased position that will document and conduct on-site surveys
at healthcare facilities. This position requires extensive (up to
90% overnight) state-wide travel. Occasional weekend and
after-hours work may also be required.
Job Responsibilities
Under general to limited supervision, the Compliance Nurse 2, with
the Acute Care Unit conducts on-site surveys of non-long term care
facilities regulated by the state to determine compliance with
applicable state and/or federal rules and regulations. This
position may be asked to survey other facility types as needed.
Surveys are conducted either independently or as a part of a
multi-disciplinary team using both automated and written survey
processes to monitor compliance with federal and state requirements
in Acute Care facilities. This position requires extensive (up to
90%overnight) state-wide travel. Occasional weekend and after-hours
work may also be required. Additionally, this position performs the
following.
Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or
university and five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse,
two (2) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity
and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse; or
eight (8) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (HCP073) or
position equivalent, two (2) years of which in an environment
related to the area of assignment, four (4) years of which as a
supervisor and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional
Nurse.
Note: Some positions may require certification or licensure.
Possession of a valid Georgia driver's license, which would enable
the applicant to drive in Georgia, and use of a car at work, are
required for employees in this job.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates,
who have a healthcare background and in addition to meeting the
qualifications listed above, possess the following.
