-Shift: Mon - Fri 7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30p, call requiredLocation:
Emory University Hospital
- Provides quality care to the patients receiving diagnostic and
interventional radiology procedures. Assumes responsibility and
provides direct quality care for patients receiving Nuclear
Medicine and PET exams.
- Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty
equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices.
- Explains procedures to patients to reduce their anxiety and
obtain patient cooperation.
- Assists with patient/family education.
- Performs efficiently in emergency situations.
- Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals in
diagnostic procedures.
- Responsible for acquiring, processing and photographing optimum
exams for diagnostic interpretation.
- May support or assist in research and related
activities.Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
Technology, be registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the
Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the
