Job Description:

As the Director of Finance, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business and drive the Healthcare System's financial strategy and planning for all Compass One services provided. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of each service line at each hospital. You will assist with all the accounting, forecasting, and control functions for Compass One and you will act as a liaison between Compass One and key client financial stakeholders, including client accounting, finance, and the CFO group. This role is remote but must be located in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Florida. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing process, including setting unit-level expectation, communicating and escalating accuracy or timeliness opportunities; working directly with Morrison and Prisma accounting to ensure accurate bookkeeping; and proactively providing recommendations and supporting data for improvement actions.
• Manage billing process by creating and submitting consolidated bills, unit-level generated fee bills, and providing back-up to clients and client CFOs as requested.
• Assist in developing, executing, and tracking cost reduction and operational improvement strategies.
• Manage monthly CFO Review process by presenting financial performance results and related data as required by the contract.
• Manage Internal Control Review process by conducting ICR reviews in collaboration with Morrison Regional Leadership.
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Review monthly results and implement additional monthly variance reporting as needed.
• Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and prepare the annual budget in consultation with Regional Leadership.
• Oversee contract administration in collaboration with Morrison Regional Leadership.
• Train and coach new and continuing Directors and Managers in the use of financial applications. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Five plus years of related experience, including reporting and analysis.
  • Strong experience with Excel and Power Point. Experience with the Compass Suite strongly preferred.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong professional and interpersonal skills as well as written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
